Essentially, we’re looking for a Manager/Director to join this SME (around 14 staff currently) and help create processes and structure and to take them forward into their next phase of growth.
You’ll be strategic but happy to be hands on and actually deliver the plans.
A manufacturing background would be useful; backgrounds in lifestyle, gifting, cosmetics, beauty etc. would be ideal. Think consumer brands that are sold to trade and direct.
Supply chain/buying experience and knowledge would be helpful too.

Develop and manage business strategies and goals
Formulate and improve policies and procedures
Monitor, inspire and motivate staff
Looking at supply chain
Assisting with buying/procurement
Managing HR and recruitment
Identity business growth opportunities to help improve revenue
Monitor financial activity
Creating, implementing and carrying out induction process
Health and Safety
Managing Company administration such as insurance, public liability etc.

The role
As the third person in the fairly new marketing team, you’ll be the digital expert for the business.
You will be responsible for the continual improvement of the online performance, delivering consistent growth across all channels with high-quality technical skills, considerable on and off-page SEO capabilities and knowledge of B2B marketing. Using advanced Google Analytics, you will provide deep insight into the performance of the website, customer acquisition and conversion, identifying and implementing improvements.
Your knowledge of email marketing means that you will have no problem creating, testing, delivering, and analysing regular email and push notification campaigns, using Mailchimp and One Signal. You will create, edit, and publish pages, posts and products on the website to a very high standard, along with the production and curation of all types of high-quality content including video, written and photography for use across all digital channels. The international growth of the company means that we will be launching foreign language versions of the ‘site, which you will have responsibility for production and maintenance of, and you will assist in the conception and realisation of assets for exhibiting at world leading technology events, which you will also attend to promote the business and demonstrate products (when we can of course!)
You
You’ll have at least three years’ experience in a digital focused b2b marketing role, either from agency side or within a business.Your high-quality technical SEO and Google Analytics skills will be super important in the role and you must have experience with CMS (WordPress ideally) and CRM (HubSpot ideally).
You will naturally be interested in technology and innovation and be ready to build a sparkling career in a dynamic, forward thinking and highly successful business.

This role is best suited to someone who has a good understanding of the sales cycle and the differing communication requirements at each stage. The successful candidate will be experienced at managing data, motivated to continually generate content (articles, news, website content, social media posts), expert at distributing content via the website, email marketing, webinars, social media, press releases, SEO, PPC and other channels.
You must be extremely effective at using online tools such as a CRM system, email marketing software, Google Analytics and WordPress and have a good understanding of SEO, PPC and social media including LinkedIn

Requirements

Initially a 6-month contract, with the possibility to extend to a permanent role for the right person. (Would consider part-time).
Briefing creative teams on projects and tracking development of creative against these briefs, ensuring that the integrity of design and creative strategy is upheld throughout with a sharp focus on scope, budget and timelines.
Project profitability – ensure that all of your assigned projects are run with profitability in mind, planning and tracking projects to maximise project profitability.
Project resourcing – Liaising and troubleshooting with the Project Leads to manage Time planner and ensure sufficient and appropriate resource is allocated for your projects to meet client deadlines and medium-term plans are in place to forecast resource requirements.
About you
Previous project management, ideally from a creative, design or marketing background with a history of working on FMCG accounts.
