Do you have a minimum of four years’ PR and communications experience in a professional services type environment, where you have demonstrated your unique ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively?

Are you looking for a great PR/Communications role in an amazing business working on interesting, diverse and important projects?

If you are a former journalist or trained in journalism, maybe in a related sector, that would be great too!

In particular, this role is focusing on:

•Internal communications
•Corporate & employee engagement
•Content writing & generation (especially ability to ‘translate’ technical content to the layperson)

About the company

This is an international business, with a head office in Paris and most of the senior management team are French, so would be good if you can speak some French, but if not, you’d need to be happy to learn! The business is involved in the biggest construction and infrastructure projects in the world, including in the UK, so this is a hugely responsible role.

What you’ll be doing

The communications/PR manager’s role in the UK for this exciting and interesting business is all about engagement with the UK partners, the team, and external parties, including the media, stakeholders, awards partners. It’s not really about strategy and brand management (that’s all directed by the team in Paris) – this role is about the local (UK) team and getting their stories and communications messages distributed accurately, relevantly and efficiently. It’ll involve plenty of using your own initiative, as you’ll need to entirely manage your own calendar (events, site visits, awards, staff meetings, seminars, team meetings) and be the interface between projects and people here in the UK and Paris. Sometimes, you will literally be working on your own and travelling the country to meetings. Although you report to the MD, you’ll be in super close contact with the Communications Director in Paris, but it’s likely lots of this communication with be by video call. And this is a global community of professionals, so an understanding of international business would be pretty much essential.

Oh and of course you must be happy to travel to Paris occasionally!
