Sophie, Moxie and Mettle’s fantastic Recruiter Extraordinaire, is going travelling for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. We are genuinely happy for her and wish her and Gavin a great trip!

However, we’re going to miss her (personally and professionally) and would love to find another “Sophie” for the Moxie and Mettle team here in Clifton, Bristol, UK. 

The Recruitment Executive role involves:

Loads and loads of interviews (mostly by phone) with our brilliant candidates (that’s people who work in marketing, PR, digital, social media, creative, communications, and design roles, at every level).

Informing all our candidates about the interesting and varied roles that we work on with our clients who are a mix of in-house and agency senior bods in marketing, PR, and creative roles.  If in-house, the roles are in a marketing or PR department or team usually; and if agency at every level from intern/entry-level right up to director level.

Taking detailed briefs from our clients for new roles and then sourcing great candidates, from our database; from our new advertising campaigns; from LinkedIn, and via social media.

It’s a very varied and interesting role (and I’m sure Sophie would say, challenging too), and it’s great fun.  You can also earn a great salary, and bonuses too (which can easily double your salary!)

What else?

Well, your background and previous industry knowledge are really not important; an understanding of the world of marketing and PR would certainly help.  We can teach you what you need to know, it’s all about communication.

This is absolutely NOT a sales role – you need to be a great communicator, to be brilliant at writing, and most importantly be a great listener. We’ve been in the recruitment business for over 30 years in the creative sector; so we have a superb, stable, and growing client base with whom we enjoy working and new jobs for candidates every single day.

Other stuff…

Oh and Sophie always makes sure we have tea, coffee, and milk, is super helpful and friendly, can sing really well (and loudly), and makes us laugh, a lot!  So while none of this is essential of course, any combination would be great!  

Salary and benefits

All up for discussion, we are a flexible, team-centered business.  We are obviously super aware of current salaries and benefits packages…this is a learning role, as we’re expecting you to need to learn the ropes, so not a senior job (but who knows where it could lead).

You might be wondering about the 5 days in the office thing…it’s a thing!  We (mostly) want and need to be in the office together to deliver on our promises to clients and candidates, and to each other.  So, if you need a work-from-home day now and then, that’s fine…but mostly, it’s in the office, in Clifton (opposite The Ivy).
