* This isn’t a traditional sales role; instead, it focuses on how a professional services firm can strategically develop its client base and strengthen market presence. Working closely with the marketing team, the role involves identifying growth opportunities, nurturing key relationships, and supporting initiatives that position the firm effectively in its sector. The ideal candidate is collaborative, strategic, and comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders to help drive long-term, sustainable business growth.

Ideally you’ll be based in the Bristol office (3 days office based/2 remote) but there’s an option to work from the Bath OR Swindon office.

About you:

  • You’ll need business development type experience, where you have worked to market a service  (nor a product).
  • Previous experience within professional services business development would be great, but isn’t essential.
  • If you have any experience of helping to create strategy for business development, this will be a huge plus.

The role:

  • A great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure, insight and energy to business development and marketing activity.
  • There’s plenty of scope to get involved, contribute ideas and help the firm build stronger, more consistent engagement with clients and referrers. Support the development and delivery of client engagement plans, help maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and ensure that the firm has the right information and processes in place to make confident decisions about growth.
  • A big part of the role involves building relationships across the business, so you will be someone who enjoys collaborating with colleagues at all levels. You will also work with external stakeholders, including clients, prospects’ and referrers, helping to nurture those relationships.
  • You’ll also support with managing data, supporting/attending events and campaigns, preparing reports, tracking activity and helping to a structured approach to business development across the firm.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of client engagement strategies
  • Helping to build and maintain a strong referral network
  • Managing data, reports and activity tracking to support growth plans
  • Working closely with internal teams to coordinate business development activity
  • Supporting events, campaigns and other client facing initiatives
  • Building relationships with clients, prospects and referrers
  • Taking ownership of administrative and process led tasks
