Summary

Senior role with a superb product design business based in Bristol, delivering amazing and ground breaking products and services for medical, consumer and industrial clients (this role is to focus on consumer and industrial sectors).

Having won business in some areas and maintaining their market position, this fabulous team is now keen to recruit a senior business development manager whose role will be to accelerate new business within brand new clients and existing businesses, with profitability and sustainability as key goals.

Your team mates will include experts in research, innovation, human factors, digital UX, 2D and 3D product & packaging design, engineering, prototyping, and electronics & software, all uniquely integrated within one building.

You

You MUST have experience of consultative selling of innovative, technology based, product design services to existing and new clients, often with a strong digital element.

The role will require a high energy individual, with experience of selling and high influencing skills in the technology based, user centric, product design market. You will have the necessary experience, gravitas and knowledge to engage with, and excite, a broad client base. You will be naturally collaborative, disciplined in your approach and heavily results focused.

You will be joining a small, effective sales team and a company that is obsessed with helping its clients to create innovative and market leading design solutions that deliver outstanding benefits.

You will either currently be in a sales role for an innovation, design or technology consultancy business, or you have a product or digital design background but have a talent and passion for winning business and developing clients.

  • managing and delivering multiple events and engagements to a wide variety of stakeholders including major businesses, transport groups and members of the public.
  • working collaboratively with regional bodies to identify opportunities for joint communications campaigns and ensure messaging is consistent
  • Develop and distribute a wide range of digital and print collateral for a wide variety of audiences and priorities, maintaining tone of voice and template quality
  • Investigate and resolve public and stakeholder enquires/complaints, working to collate and translate complex technical information to accurately respond within set timeframes

Would be beneficial if you had the following:

Experience of making the case for investment, securing planning consents for major projects or managing stakeholder relations for construction projects.

Media relations (including message development and social media): working knowledge of media relations’ strategies and techniques, media monitoring, social media.

The role could be amended to accommodate an Account Director (at a higher salary obviously).
